Champignon Essettei (Agaricus essettei)

Esset champignon is very common in coniferous forests (especially in spruce forests). Grows on the forest floor, also occurs in deciduous forests, but rarely.

It is an edible mushroom with good taste.

The season is from mid-July to October.

Fruiting bodies – caps and pronounced legs. The caps of young mushrooms are spherical, later becoming convex, flat.

The color is white, exactly the same color as the hymenophore. The plates of Agaricus essettei are whitish, later becoming grey-pink and then brown.

The leg is thin, cylindrical, has a torn ring at the bottom.

Color – white with a pink tint. There may be a slight extension at the bottom of the leg.

A similar species is field champignon, but it has slightly different places of growth – it likes to grow in grassy places.
