line: in a young mushroom, the cap has the shape of a hemisphere, then the cap opens and becomes prostrate, but not completely. The hat is from two to six cm in diameter. It has an indefinite color, orange-brown. In wet weather, the surface of the cap is mucous. Very often, the hat is covered with mud, which is due to the growing conditions of the fungus. Along the edges, the hat has a lighter shade, very often the edges are wavy, covered with scraps of bedspreads. In the central part of the cap there is a wide truncated tubercle. The skin of the cap is sticky, shiny with small radial fibrous scales.

Pulpa: rather thick and dense flesh. Has a light yellow or light brown color. Does not differ in special taste and smell.

Înregistrări: not frequent, grown. In youth, the plates have a grayish color, then they become clay-brown due to maturing spores.

Pulbere de spori: maro.

Picior: brown fibers cover the lower part of the leg, its upper part is lighter, like a hat. The height of the leg is up to 6 cm. The thickness is up to 1 cm. The trace of the ring is practically not noticeable. The surface of the leg is covered with small reddish-brown scales. The brownish fibrous annular zone on the stem disappears very quickly. Scraps of the bedspread last longer along the edges of the cap.

Spread: some sources claim that cinder scales begin to grow from August, but in fact, they have been found since May. Grows on old bonfires and burned wood, on burnt wood. It bears fruit with variable frequency until October. By the way, it is not very clear how this fungus reproduces.

Similitudine: given the place where the fungus grows, it is almost impossible to confuse it with other species. Similar mushrooms do not grow on burned areas.

Comestibilitate: there is no information on the edibility of cinder flakes.
