Preferred habitats are pine forests located in the northern part of the European hemisphere. He likes to grow in sunny places with white moss. Almost always, mushrooms grow singly and only sometimes form small groups. Gather gindellum blue available from July to September.
The cap of the mushroom can be up to 20 cm in diameter, the height of the fruiting body is about 12 cm. There are bumps and bumps on the surface of the mushroom, in young specimens it can be slightly velvety. The cap is light blue above, darker below, irregular in shape, has small spines up to 4 mm long. Young mushrooms have purplish or blue thorns, becoming darker or browner over time. The leg is also brown, short, completely immersed in moss.
Hyndellum blue on the section it is presented in several colors – the upper and lower parts of the body are colored brown, and the middle has a blue and light blue color. The pulp does not have a specific smell, it is stiff in texture and very dense.
This mushroom belongs to the category of inedible.
