Dry calluses on the fingers: how to remove corns

Treatment of dry corns with folk remedies

The treatment of dry calluses, or, as they are also called, corns, is based on proper steaming of the skin. To do this, soak your feet or hands in warm water with sea salt or a few drops of tea tree oil dissolved in it. When the skin is soft, brush the dry corn with liquid vitamin E, olive oil, or castor oil. Then put on cotton socks or wrap your finger with gauze. You need to carry out this procedure daily.

A solution of table vinegar and glycerin, which is prepared in a 1: 1 ratio, also helps to get rid of dry corns. Apply to the steamed corns, and then cover the corn with a plaster. After a while, dry skin can be gently treated with a pumice stone.

To remove dry corn, it is helpful to compress aloe leaves. Just cut one leaf along and attach it with the inside to the corns, securing it with adhesive plaster. After 4-5 hours, remove the aloe, rinse the corn under water and wipe dry. Then treat with a pumice stone.

Compresses with the following products can be made in the same way:

  • propolis;
  • suc de lămâie;
  • ceapă;
  • boiled prunes in milk.

Effective in the fight against corns and a decoction of birch leaves. Pour boiling water over them and cool to 40 ° C. Soak your fingers with dry corn in this broth for about half an hour. Then wipe them dry and brush with lanolin cream.

Remember, the sooner you start treatment, the faster you can get rid of dry calluses.

You can also apply pine tar to steamed dry corn. This is best done overnight, repeating the procedure until the callus is gone.

Removing dry calluses with drugs

The Salipod plaster, which is sold in any pharmacy, is effective for the treatment of dry calluses. Apply it to steamed but dry skin and wear for 2 days. After which it is removed along with the dead skin of the callus. In some cases, this procedure will need to be repeated several times.

You can also use a specialized keratolytic cream. Apply it also to clean steamed dry corn several times a day until the corn flakes completely.

In especially difficult cases, when none of the remedies helps, consult a dermatologist. Perhaps the occurrence of dry corn is also associated with a lack of vitamins or fungal diseases.
