Cellasene, manual lymphatic drainage

 Cellasene®. This product is in the form of capsules taken orally. It notably contains borage oil as well as extracts of ginkgo, sweet clover, bladder wrack and grape seeds. Only one study tested its effectiveness. It was published in 1999 by independent researchers2. The authors found no significant improvement after two months of daily treatment. In 2001, during a class action lawsuit in the United States, the manufacturer of these capsules was found guilty of a misleading allegation on the label of its product, having written on it “eliminates cellulite”.3. At the time of writing, it was still possible to get it on websites.

 Drenaj limfatic manual. Manual lymphatic drainage is a massage technique that aims to stimulate the circulation of lymph by gentle and rhythmic pressure along the lymphatic vessels. American doctor Andrew Weil considers it unnecessary in the treatment of cellulite. Unless you have lymphedema (swelling of a limb caused by the accumulation of lymph) or have had lymph nodes removed, these massages will have no effect, he says.4.
