Polevik hard (Agrocybe dura)

line:

3-10 cm in diameter, changes markedly with age – at first hemispherical, regular in shape, compact, thick-fleshed, with a dense white partial veil; as the fungus matures, it opens and loses its shape, often (apparently in dry weather) covered with surface cracks, from under which a white, cotton-like flesh emerges. The edges of the cap of adult mushrooms can look very sloppy due to the ragged remains of a private bedspread. The color varies significantly, from white, almost snow-white (in youth) to dirty yellow, beige. The flesh of the cap is thick, white, with a slight odor, various authors receive different ratings – from “pleasant mushroom” to “unpleasant”.

Înregistrări:

Frequent, adherent, thick, sometimes very wide, in young mushrooms often with a characteristic “disarrangement”, then simply uneven. The beginning of the life path is carried out under the protection of a thick white veil. Color – from light grayish or brownish in youth to dark brown in mature specimens. The coloration of the hard flake plates goes through approximately the same evolution as that of champignons, but here grayish rather than reddish shades predominate in the gamut.

Pulbere de spori:

Maro inchis.

Picior:

Quite long and slender, 5-12 cm in height and 0,5-1 cm in thickness, cylindrical, solid, only occasionally evenly expanding in the lower part. Color – whitish-gray, duller than the cap. The surface of the stem may be covered with broken and characteristically curling fibers, giving the impression of pubescence. The remnants of a private cover quickly disappear, and in adult mushrooms they may not be noticeable at all. The flesh of the leg is hard, fibrous, grayish.

Spread:

It grows from the middle of summer (according to other sources, already from July) in meadows, gardens, parks, lawns, preferring humanized landscapes. According to the literature data, Argocybe dura is a “silo saprophyte”, decomposing grass residues, which distinguishes it from the “cluster” Agrocybe praecox – its other representatives feed on wood and sawdust.

Specii similare:

Strictly speaking, according to some researchers Agrocybe lasts (she, by the way, agrocybe bothers) is not quite a separate species. (And in general, in mycology, the taxon “view” acquires some other meaning, not like in other biology.) And speaking humanly, then a hard agrocybe (or a hard field) can be so similar to an early agrocybe (or an early field worker, like his devil in ), that they can only be distinguished through a microscope, and even then not always. Agrocybe dura is said to have larger spores. Actually, it was precisely on the basis of the size of the spores that I attributed the mushrooms, which is in the photo, to this species.

But it is very easy to distinguish a tough agrocibe from champignons. In old age, they are not at all similar, and in young mushrooms – a sinewy cylindrical leg, earthy color of the plates, and the absence of a pleasant anise smell. It doesn’t look like champagne at all.

Comestibilitate:

Not clear; obvious, inherited from Agrocybe praecox. In the sense that you can eat, but do not want to.
