If you try to force yourself to fulfill an unrealistic plan, then you will either give up, or you will spend so much energy on self-forcing that you will not want anything later. Including repeating this «feat». Of course, there are people who can tear their c.u.hu on their chest and say «I’m not me if I don’t!!!». But such people do not sit on the forums, they either achieve or break down about the task. Therefore, if it seems to you that you lack willpower — think, maybe the plan was unrealistic, the resources are fictitious, and the goal is only hypothetically achievable?
